LPG high power inspection > 70 kW
Compliance inspection for industrial propane installations, agricultural sites and technical processes. Specialised inspectors for high-power LPG.
Compliance inspection for industrial propane installations, agricultural sites and technical processes. Specialised inspectors for high-power LPG.
Propane or butane installations exceeding 70 kW are governed by the NBN/DTD B 61-002:2021 standard. These configurations are mainly found in industrial, agricultural or isolated contexts requiring significant heating capacity.
LPG provides an energy alternative in areas not served by the natural gas network, with specific safety requirements linked to the nature of this heavier-than-air gas.
Our inspection covers the internal installation: distribution network, combustion appliances, ventilation and safety devices. The storage tank itself is inspected by your gas supplier as part of your contract.
The inspection applies to all propane/butane installations exceeding 70 kW, mainly in industrial and agricultural sectors.
Ovens, dryers, kilns and production installations using propane as an energy source.
Crop drying, livestock building heating, large-scale thermal weed control.
Heating professional greenhouses with high and continuous energy demand.
Heating large volumes in areas not connected to the natural gas grid.
Cooking, sterilisation and thermal processes in the food production sector.
Any installation requiring high heating power without access to the gas network.
High-power LPG installations present specific risks. The inspector verifies all safety devices of the internal installation (the tank itself is inspected by your gas supplier).
Mandatory gas detection systems in technical rooms, with alarm and automatic shut-off.
As LPG is heavier than air, efficient low-level ventilation is essential to evacuate leaks.
Large-capacity tanks must comply with strict minimum distances from buildings and property boundaries.
Main shut-off, solenoid valves, flow limiters and non-return devices are inspected and tested.
Regulators, pressure reducers and safety valves sized for the high flow rates of large installations.
Regulatory markings, fire brigade access, extinguishing means and visible safety instructions.
Answers to the common questions of professionals using LPG.
Does the inspection include the storage tank?
No, our inspection covers exclusively the distribution and use installation (downstream of the tank outlet valve). The tank itself is inspected by the tank owner (usually your propane supplier) under the pressure equipment regulations.
How often must an industrial LPG installation be inspected?
The frequency depends on the applicable regulation and your insurer’s requirements. An annual or biennial inspection is generally recommended for high-power installations.
Do you provide the isometric diagram?
Yes, the Certinergie inspector can draw the isometric diagram of your gas installation on site for an additional fee. This document represents the entire pipework and is often required by suppliers or insurers.
Can you intervene on SEVESO sites?
We work on gas distribution and use installations. For SEVESO sites, coordination with your safety officer is required. Our inspectors are trained in the safety procedures of sensitive industrial sites.
How is the inspection of an agricultural installation carried out?
The inspector checks the full distribution network from the tank outlet to the appliances (greenhouse heating, dryer, etc.). Safety devices, technical room ventilation and connection compliance are also verified.
Do you offer preventive maintenance contracts?
We offer framework contracts including scheduled inspection visits, a dedicated contact and preferential rates. Contact our B2B department for a proposal tailored to your installation portfolio.
Industrial sites, agricultural operations, technical processes: our specialised inspectors work on every high-power LPG configuration.
